Words are a poor replacement for the profound presence that was "Dozer Scholl."
A chocolate lab through and through, Dozer was one of the happiest Patients I had the pleasure of meeting. He cemented his place in my heart from Day 1.
He was such a strong spirit, whether sick or on-the-mend, and always met me with a wagging tail--no matter what the day held.
Dozer's drive to fight--to stay strong, so that he could stay with His People--can't be overstated. His owners meant the world to him, and it is clear in every way that they felt the same devotion to their Dozer.
There will be a Dozer-shaped hole in all of our hearts for many years to come. But, I wouldn't have it any other way. So long as he lives in our memories, so long as we love him, Dozer will never truly be gone.
While his absence is still so sharp, time will dull the sting. When that day comes, it is my hope that all the warmest, happiest memories of Dozer return to those who loved him in life--bringing healing & peace.

The Doze was a one of a kind puppers. I remember being there for the first swim. Passing the little chunk around with Mike in knee deep water. It was that day I became “Uncle Rob”. Everyone went out on the boat and Doze and I hung out down by the water. Over the years I was the instigator where I would force a ground wrestle when I’d come home, though he would never give up or submit. I will remember his outside zoomies where I was convinced I could stop them. I’d surprise him by catching him and holding him up off the ground, every time getting myself covered in dirt and mud. I remember endless fetch sessions at the lake. Even racing him down the dock, off the dock and to his ball. Doze was a great dog. Anyone who met Doze could see the love and compassion through his eyes. He had an amazing personality and had an unimaginable love for Mike and Tami. His commitment to them was unmatched. He was special and though he will be missed, he has left a mark forever in all our hearts.

When I think of Dozer, I remember when he arrived at our house for Thanksgiving. He came into the house with a bound. He bounced from person to person saying "hi". When he got to Sam, it became a yelling scene. "Sam leave Dozer alone...Sam don't get Dozer riled up...Sam!!!" Good thing Dozer was such a good boy, Sam wasn't.

Dozer, you were the best little brother to Gunner and my sweetest fur nephew. I will never forget watching you run down the dock and launch into the lake, followed by Gunner who quickly realized he was nowhere near as athletic as you! You gave the best cuddles and not another pup can clean a plate quite like you. Thank you for all the laughs and love. I know you’re swimming in your very own lake in the sky eating home made treats. Know that you are so so loved and dearly missed by everyone you met, you left paw prints on my heart sweet boy❤️

Dozer was such a sweet boy. I only knew him in his final days but even when he was sick, he was such a joy to be around. I’m forever grateful to know him and be able to care for him in his last days

My favorite memory of Dozer was when we came to visit. After parking the van I opened the back doors so the kids could get out. Dozer thought that was an invite to go for a ride and he pounced into the car with such joy and excitement! He didn’t care that the kids were in the way, he pushed his way in for a ride! I just remember laughing so hard we could barely get him out of the car. He was such a good boy!

Dozer-you were such a sweet, sweet boy. I will always remember how much you loved the stuffed animal shark I bought you and somehow didn’t destroy it. I loved watching you swim in the lake, as I know that was your favorite place. You were such a good boy, and you will be missed forever. <3 Shannon

Dozer always lived up to his name! He always came to visit us at Honeoye Falls Vet full throttle ready to greet everyone here with love and tail wags. He was the epitome of what a Lab should be.

You were the best little brother to Gunner and my sweet fur nephew. I’ll never forget how you would launch off the dock with Gunner close behind, only for him to realize he was no-where near as agile as you! You made sunsets on the lake more special just by being there, and there’s not a pup in the world that could clean a plate like you did. I see you in Gunners face everyday and it makes me miss you so much more. Thank you for making the world a little better Dozer, you’re so, so missed.
